Details
This LARGE slab is not a true jasper, but actually a form of metamorphic limestone that comes from Utah.
The slab is smooth although there is a bit of kerf marking (blade chatter) on one side.
There are no pits or cracks.
The density MAY vary as the material changes from limestone to the metallic areas.
This material works well for beginning lapidarist, and takes a moderate polish.
The first two photos are taken while the slab is wet to simulate what it would look like polished.
